Credit bureau
The credit bureau is a Consumer Reporting Agency (CRAs) they collect and disseminate information about consumers to be used for credit evaluation and other purposes including insurance scoring and employment screening. The credit bureau has obligations under the Fair Credit Reporting Act FCRA.
They must provide a consumer information to verify the accuracy of information disputed. They must remove the negative information they are not able to verify and they must not put it back without notifying the consumer within 5 days in writing.
They must remove any inaccurate, unverifiable, untimely or biased information.
