A Texas Credit Services Organization is a person who provides services to improve a consumer's credit history or rating or obtains an extension of a consumer's credit or provides advice to improve a credit score or extend a consumer credit. A Texas Credit Services Organization or CSO is often called a Texas Credit Repair Company.
The Texas Attorney General has recognized the importance of good credit standing to obtain competitive interest rates on loans and major purchases. Texas also recognizes the costs of poor credit and the obstacles it creates.
If circumstances create bad credit it is worth the effort to repair the bad credit but it takes time. No one can remove accurate and timely negative information. If you are in over your head and live in Texas the law there provides for you to ask for help. You can work with your creditors and ask them to work with you to reschedule your payments. You can ask them to waive a payment. Or you can consider going to a credit counselor or a credit repair company a Credit Services Organization CSO.
Whatever you do proceed with caution. If you have poor credit you may be tempted by a company offering to erase your bad credit for a fee. You can not erase accurate and timely payment history.
