A judgment is recorded on a credit report after evidence is presented to a judge stating the debt including the facts surrounding the case and including other expenses surrounding the debt agreed upon or provided by law. A court date is set providing the debtor was properly served and the case is presented to the judge. If the debtor fails to appear after properly being served a default judgment is issued. If the debtor appears a court date is set.
